    For an additional 50 euros/ month you can also book our in-house laundry service. You will be able to hand in your laundry every week and receive it back after three days, washed and ironed.

    We are all called to shape and determine our own lives. Währing offers many opportunities for lively debate and discussion:

    -    ECA (Extracurricular Activities): Our numerous ECA-events form a broad range of opportunities; talks and seminars from experts or notable individuals, workshops, excursions, and much more! Together we aim to delve into life’s big questions and the joy every day offers, helping to bring out the best in each other.

    -    Tutoring: A personal tutor is available to every resident, to help her with questions about her studies and exploring her future life goals and plans.

    Cultural Centre Währing

    The Villa

    Our house is also known as the "Kálmán-Villa". The operetta composer Emmerich Kálmán (1882-1953) lived here during his years in Vienna, curating his own musical salon. 

    The beauty and rich heritage of this building inform every aspect of life at Währing: fire-side chats, cultural events, concerts and much more.

    Most events are open to the public. Any proceeds go towards maintaining the building. You can find the program of the cultural centre under ‘Aktuelles’.

    Währing is shaped by the spirit of Opus Dei (www.opusdei.at), a prelature of the Roman Catholic Church, which promotes living out Christianity in everyday life. 

    The message of St. Josemaria, our founder, and Opus Dei is to discover a new dimension to our work and everyday life through the Christian faith, living out our duties and activities as a service to God and other people. This also motivates us to strive towards excellence in our chosen fields.
